About

What began as a simple creative hobby slowly evolved over the years, but the true turning point came in February of 2018.

After leaving a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship the year before, I found myself on a journey to rediscover who I was and reconnect with the parts of myself I had lost along the way.

One day while driving home, I noticed a veteran walking slowly with his walker toward the retirement home near my apartment. Something in my heart told me to stop and ask if he needed or wanted a ride.

He kindly declined, but that brief moment stayed with me. I suddenly felt a strong desire to do something meaningful for veterans.

I decided to create handmade greeting cards for the residents at my local VA hospital. They were not intended to be Memorial Day cards — I simply wanted to create something that expressed appreciation and encouragement. Ironically, by the time I finished them, Memorial Day had arrived.

Each card was created in a similar style with different colors and artistic details. On the front, they read:

“I Believe in You.”

Inside, I wrote:

“You put your life on the line for me without even knowing who I am. Due to your bravery and sacrifice, you have granted me the freedom to be who I am. I believe in you.”

Later that same year, I created 40 holiday cards for the residents and have continued doing so annually ever since.

I like to think that, even if only for a moment, I was able to bring a smile to someone’s face.

Around that same time, I also began creating Thank You cards to hand out to people who helped or served others in everyday life — cashiers, waiters, nurses, doctors, stock workers, cooks, and so many others whose kindness often goes unnoticed.

Through these experiences, my art slowly became less about selling cards and more about creating moments of encouragement, kindness, connection, and hope.

Seeing someone smile after receiving a small handmade card has often felt more meaningful than anything else.

Today, the artwork and paper goods I create are designed to inspire encouragement, comfort, hope, and gentle positivity for people who may simply need a little extra light in their day — whether for themselves or for someone they love.
